I did it! 3 Weeks Are Up!

Well its been WAAAY over 3 weeks, but thought it was due for an update! I lasted three weeks without wearing any makeup, horrible I know, but the odd thing is that after awhile, I felt more confident. I wasnt worried about how I looked, I just felt comfortable!
Now dont get me wrong I love my makeup and did of course go back to wearing it, but definitely not as much.
I use to wear foundation all over my face, but now I use it as a concealer applying it under my eyes and on and around my nose. Blush and mascara of course, but now I only use a clear gel for my eyebrows instead of coloring them in some.
Heres a pic I took the first day I was free! I did wear ALL of my makeup here, including lipstick.
Also please excuse the snooty face and bad webcam pics hehe

giiiiirrrrrrllllllllll

So from this experience I would say the pros and cons were this:
Pros:
Gained confidence
WON the bet
Was right about it not creating my breakouts
Have a new, fresh look

Cons:
Had to sport dark circles and a red nose
Felt plain
Felt out of place at makeup counters/mall/salon
I dont know how true this is, but I also felt like people treated me differently.

Aside from that I want to say Happy New Year!! Hope everyone had a grand ol' time :)

NOTD : China Glaze Peachy Keen

Hey everyone! Hope all is well and peachy! Hehe. Well it has been 2 weeks to the day with no makeup, though we have agreed that I can wear concealer under my eyes (super dark circles). But other than that! No mascara, no brow coloring (to match my new hair color) or clear gel to shape them :( But it's alright, only one more week to go!
Alright, enough of that and on to my NOTD: ChG Peachy Keen! I love this color, I think it is one of my all time favorites. The color is like a creamsicle, orange and cream mixed together oh so smoothly! Hehe.

Some of my other favorites are:
  • ChG For Audrey
  • ChG Re-Fresh Mint
  • MAC Liberty Blue India
  • OPI Mad As A Hatter and so much more :)

Also the number ONE top coat ever! Is Seche Vite. I swear this stuff not only dries fast, but leaves such a nice thick shine that lasts! Ive tried OPI's top coat and wasn't impressed.

I also just bought a nail color wheel! I'm assuming that's what it's called. So now I will be able to show my nail polish swatches!

Mini Target Haul & Hair Color

Well I finally took a pic of my hair! Still not the greatest pics, but figured it's better now than never :) I also got a few things from Target this weekend. Some awesome boots, wedges and a scarf.
I never wear heels but these were WEDGES! hehe. I always feel too tall in heels or never really have anywhere to where them to (I work from home). They're pretty darn comfy though.
And last but not least my favorite Elephant bracelet! It was just here on my desk and thought I would share it with you lovely bloggets! :)

**Pics taken from phone, so not too great**
Again no makeup :(

This was a day after my hair coloring, so its a little greasy! She trimmed my hair and added some soft layers

And here are my goods from Target

And my Elephant bracelet with some others that I pair it with

Glitter Galore!

Hey everyone! Well its day 4 with no makeup and it is killing me! BUT! A bet is a bet, therefore I shall stay strong!
I wanted to take a pic of my new hair color, but the lighting wasn't that great so you couldn't get the real look of it. So hopefully tomorrow during the day I will.
But what I did get to take a picture of, are my fabulous glitter galore nails! I just found this dark blue/purple-ish color; OPI Road House Blues and fell in love! I also added OPI Sparkle-icious on top of two nails.

Well Im off to bed now, but wanted to say hola to everyone and to all my new followers!

No Makeup Bet + Getting My HURR Did :)

Hey gals! So I've broken out lately with those small bumps all around my chin and forehead. My boyfriend thinks its my makeup, I think it's my hormones! hehe
So as a test or trial, I am not going to wear makeup for three weeks. Do you know what that means!? I will be looking like a dead woman walking! Not even concealer (it became more of a dare then anything else) errr... hehe
Also, I am finally getting my hair colored, cut and treated! (thanks to Groupon) haha.
I am going to go lighter, prob medium brown and get long soft layers, no more this jagged edge crappolla.
So as a BOLD move, I will post a pic of me with my 'before' hair and my ZOMBIE face! Balls I tell  ya, straight balls. Hehe

And my little princess Cora :)
We have her shaved like a lion, no more hair balls for her!

Hunger Games. Another Twilight?

So I must say I am a huge fan of Twilight. I read all but the first book (I seen the movie first so was like... what's the point?!)

Anyhoo, after I finished Breaking Dawn, I was sort of disappointed that I no longer had a book to read. (Twilight is what got me to start reading for FUN again... or ever really, hehe)

So I went on a search to see what other Twilight fans were reading. I checked out Amazon.com and looked up Twilight, then checked out the bottom where it says
"Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought"... and I seen Hunger Games. I was impressed with the amount of reviews and stars it had (3,127 reviews and 4 1/2 Stars).

I also seen that it was on Amazon's top 100 list for 394 days and currently at number 8!
ALSO STEPHENIE MEYER (author of Twilight) said "I was so obsessed with this book...The Hunger Games is amazing."

STEPHEN KING said "A violent, jarring, speed-rap of a novel that generates nearly constant suspense... I couldn't stop reading." STEPHEN KING! I mean he's the go-to guy for suspense!

John Green (sorry I don't know of him) who is The New York Times Book Review, said "Brilliantly plotted and perfectly paced."

It's an easy read and just as captivating as Twilght (hey don't knock it until you've tried it! hehe). Im almost done with the first book, they have several too, I think 3 to be exact.

So to all my Twilight and non Twilight fans, I would say check this book out! It's my new fav! Oh! AND I just found out they are making it into a movie! Though the trailer looks a little disappointing at the moment, but we will see.

Let me know what you guys think!!! Let me know if your reading the book!
I feel a HUNGER GAMES FAN CLUB coming on!! hahaha

Singer calls their floral, tulip and puppy stitch “novelty” patterns. They can be sewn continuously or just once to decorate a corner, the top of a pocket, or the edge of a project.

A pattern reference guide pulls out from the base of the machine for quick reference. Singer 7468 Sewing Machine Features

Sewing machine features serve three main purposes:
-to ease and automate setting up a machine in order to sew
-to automate sewing tasks that used to be done manually
-to facilitate other types of sewing like embroidery, craft sewing (paper crafts, photo books, handbags, leather sewing, etc.) and quilting.

This sewing machine offers lots of nice features that focus on easy machine set up and some task automation for a fairly cheap price.
-Automatic needle threader
-Top loading drop-in bobbin
-Automatic bobbin winder
-Adjustable top thread tension with an “automatic” setting
-Push button controls handle many sewing tasks:
-Stitch selection
-Twin needle control prevents selection of stitch patterns incompatible with a twin   needle
-Needle Up/Down programming button
-Reverse button conveniently located above the needle arm

The Singer 7468 uses the horizontal top thread delivery arrangement for smoother thread flow, however an auxiliary spool pin is included for over-sized thread spools. A drop feed dog lever lowers the feed dogs for darning, monogramming, free hand embroidery and free motion quilting.

The extension arm slips off of the machine allowing for free-arm sewing of circular projects like sleeves, cuffs, and hemming pants.

With the right needle, this machine will handle lightweight fabrics like chiffon and crepe as well as heavy weight fabrics such as duck, canvas, and denim.

A carry handle is built into the top of the sewing machine for easy transport, the bobbin cover is see-through, and a work light illuminates the needle plate.
